ABOUT me
As of 04/15/2019, I am an industrial designer working as a independent contractor / freelancer and currently exploring options for employment. My work history has allowed me to learn / practice / acquire skills that make me an all-in-one full product developer "in a box" per se. My skills match perfectly for business startups or smaller corporations that do not outsource. I am a product developer - director - industrial designer - mechanical engineer - UI designer - graphic designer - 3D modeler - photo realistic renderer - prototype model maker - and a person who is not afraid to stray out of their comfort zone.

Being a Designer, I believe in exploring ideas from scratch – “from cardboard” if necessary. The mistakes made and thus the lessons learned from the rough first tries only builds knowledge from these trial and errors. I believe and thrive in the live / learn by doing process.
I like to put “my name on it” – I am not afraid to take ownership of my work – I OUTSOURCE as little as possible.
I grew up in Illinois just a few hours south of Chicago. Go Cubs. I attended Southern Illinois University primarily for the free thinking Art and Design program that Buckminster Fuller built. Fuller could be defined as an American visionary, architect, author, cartographer, cosmologist, design scientist, educator, engineer, environmentalist, poet and inventor. This location called to me because of my love of the outdoors. Not many places have a university that butts directly up against a National Forest, which made it so easy to relax in the outdoors rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running.
I enjoy observing people and how they interact with the world. I have been a Junior Designer - a Senior Designer - a Design Director on Industrial Design projects - a Design Director on Engineering projects - a Design Director on Graphic User Interface projects – a Co-Founder of a Design and Engineering Consultancy.
Through my journey I have learned that it is not enough to just direct from upper management. My passion is hands on involvement with each project. What keeps me going is to put ideas/concepts in the hands of a client. To see their fulfillment over a vision of the future delivered with simple, yet innovative ideas. To see a smile on a clients face. I want to conceptualize it, render it, test it, refine it, build it and present it and not just/only direct it. This is where my passion lies.
NOTE: ALL work on this site is 90 -100 percent my involvement.
