Layered birch, patinaed dark edges, aquamarine accents and sweeping lines creates a one of a kind art piece that will stand out in any mid century dwelling. The laser cut on the edges of each part create a dark earth tone patina that contracts nicely with the light baltic birch plywood front and rear faces. My inspiration for the lantern series of clocks was a papercraft lantern art project from any child's schooling.
A simple and pure clock is a quintessential modernist accessory. Its playful composition expands an everyday item in a three dimensional direction yet keeping its bare essence, challenging what we think it could and should look like.
