This little guy transforms your My Passport into a wireless drive. WD had produced a wifi cable five years ago, but it never made it to the market. It had no marketing plan behind it and was not an aesthetically pleasing product, but it functioned well. With the new WD Labs brand of unconventional products, I found a market segment that this product could be introduced into. If this device is attached to a My Passport (100's of millions sold) that is loaded with children's content, this HDD can be made into a "Kid's ONLY" product. This is the Movie Bug.

This would have been our first product marketed to parents with children and designed for kids to stream movies off of. END OF STORY - the executive review board killed this product because it would be in competition with My Passport Wireless that was marketed toward professional photographers. It is a head scratcher...
