Papercraft reskin

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

Created a fun and interactive art project for customers who own a bland office server (placed in a back corner) that is out of sight out of mind. This reengages businesses with our product and tells them our data storage company is thinking of you - Thank You for your purchase.

Sentinel skinned in an architectural scene

I proposed 2 ideas to the Small Business Unit on a way to reengage with businesses that have purchased our products. The Sentinel product line was marketed toward engineering, architectural, and design firms. The EX4 was the same market, but with the added Cloud functionality. Twice a year we would send marketing materials along with papercraft skins for the 4 bay server that they purchased. A Summer theme and Winter theme is what was proposed - seasonal themes. This would challenge customers to actually look for our product around their office since, in most cases, servers are out of sight out of mind and hidden in corners or shelves.

The idea was to bring interest and brand awareness back to a purchased product by sending an interactive papercraft art project to customers.

My Photo-realistic rendering of the bare products that were used.

Below are the renderings that were opened in Photoshop and added to. The before and after are quite different. This is how I work best, developing new ideas / adding to / refining / exploring as I design. I have said this before, I am a hands on Director / Thought Leader / Designer who has a passion for creating and improves upon anything that I touch.
